A lovely music box featuring "The Old Woman Who Lived in a Shoe". From Beatrix Potter's 1917 "Appley Dapply Nursery Rhymes" comes this Schmid music box and is vintage from the 1970's. Would make a wonderful addition to any Beatrix Potter collection.
China revolving music box plays "Getting to Know You" from Rogers and Hammerstein's "The King and I", and depicts an old woman mouse, and brood of "so many children", living in a light blue shoe.
The wind-up mechanism musical feature works well and and plays beautifully. Overall the music box is in very good condition but with a small chip on the mouse head at the heal of the shoe, otherwise like new. It still has the identification tag on from when being purchased.
Dimensions (Approx.) 5.5" Tall X 4.5" Wide (across base)
