Offered here is an antique Gentleman's Fancy Turnscrew or Flat Blade Turnscrew - Screwdriver with a wood handle from the1920's. This is a very large and chunky flathead screwdriver with a hardwood handle a brass collet and about a 3/8" tip. In the past years it has experienced a lot of use. 

The handle is likely beechwood although because of its age it is difficult for us to tell. The collet is brass and a good thickness. It is firmly fixed to the handle and there appears to be no movement.

There is some discoloration and pitting although it is not enough to give rise to any issues. 
There are years of use left in this tool if it is taken care of but will always have that historical look to it as a well used practical tool.
